Yesterday the VIM emailed me and asked that I keep a Fri/Sat in June open for a surprise destination roadtrip.

I hate surprises.  Seriously.  When someone says “I know something you don’t” I want to punch them in the head.  The VIM, he knows this.

I called him and said that I was good to go that weekend as long as we were back by early afternoon.  He said, “That’s fine.  The only thing I want to do Saturday morning is go to the Strip District.”

AH HA!  He let it slip.  I knew the destination.  As I hung up the phone I was all, “Mwahah ahaha hahahah!”

Then I started thinking.

It’s not like the VIM to let stuff slip.  Did he do that on purpose?  Is he trying to….MISLEAD me?  What a cunning plan that would be – to lull me into thinking that I know when I really have no idea.  Maybe HE’S the one who’s all, “MWAHAHA AHAHAHAHA.”

I hate surprises that aren’t surprises that I decide MIGHT be surprises.

My head.  It hurts.

Hmm… Where’s there a Strip district? Is he taking you to a nudist colony? Is your birthday coming up?

Uh……Sunset Strip?……Vegas?…….Times Square?

I just had a vision of me as a nudist. Sent chills down my spine! :)

We’re going to Pittsburgh for the Three Rivers Arts Festival. The Strip District is a neighborhood with ethnic food stores, funky shops, etc. I’m sure there’s a neighborhood like that in every city. I love it because I’m such a country girl and the Strip District is, to me, City (with a capital C.)

hmmmm…Sunset Strip doesn’t sound like a bad destination either!
