This pretty much sums up the weekend. It was cold. And rainy.
Yes, I DID beat the VIM at Scrabble, but I suffered a stinging bitter Trivial Pursuit defeat beforehand. I had the game in the bag, man, In The Bag, and somehow he came back from 4 pie pieces down to win.

I had every intention of taking lots of pictures…pictures of the cabin, pictures of the board games, pictures during our hikes…but as it turned out, we hiked in the rain, so I didn’t take my camera, and I was so tired and beat AFTER the hikes that I couldn’t bring myself to even bother getting the camera out of the bag.

It was a perfect balance of doing a lot, then doing nothing, then being exceedingly dirty and muddy, then being clean after a wonderful hot shower, to being really REALLY cold and wet after a walk in the rain, to being nice and toasty warm after throwing another log in the woodburner.
