- I have been woken up two nights in a row by some serious pain in my foot. Or more precisely, excruciating pain between two of my toes. I’d like to say it’s a stress injury from exercising, but ha ha ha I would have had to exercised for THAT to happen.
- The VIM has been out of town for several days. I spent the extra time alone making lists of all the things I should do while he’s out of town. I ended up doing not much of anything. I’m ok with that.
- For some reason, every time I hit the apostrophe key, it activates the “find” function on my browser, and if I keep typing, it moves my cursor all around the screen. So from this point forward I will not be using any contractions in this post.
- Coffee: nectar of the Early Morning Gods
- I can think of few things I would rather not have done than laser eye surgery. If I ever need to have it done, I hope they will have a giant bottle of pre-op valium available.
- One of my absolute biggest guilty pleasures is watching the movie “The Cutting Edge.” I will drop everything and watch it every time it is on tv. Saturday I had to make the tough decision of whether to watch Project Runway or The Cutting Edge. This is what my life devolves into when the VIM is not home.
- At least for this weekend, I live in the sweet spot of the eastern US: Too far northwest to get much snow from the noreaster, too far southeast to get much from lake effect snow. We got just enough snow to make everything pretty, but not enough to be a pain.

We didn’t get the snow either… we’re totally lucking out this year. So far!
I’ve never seen The Cutting Edge. Who’s in it?

Comment by kenju February 15, 2006 @ 6:20 pmMarie – I can’t remember the woman in the movie, but the man is D.B. Sweeney. The movie isn’t an award winner or anything, but I can easily sit and watch 2 hours of D.B. Sweeney.
Comment by Elle February 16, 2006 @ 7:22 amCutting Edge BEST.SKATING.MOVIE.EVER. Love it.
The woman is Moira Kelly.
My brother will call me and just yell Toe Pick and hang up. I am supposed to figure out from that to turn my tv on and watch it. I usually do.
