I wrote a post a LONG time ago about co-workers. I posted it, then took it down. A few weeks later, I posted it again, then took it down again. I just can’t bring myself to leave it online. I fear someone I know (other than the people I *know* know) finding this blog. And if people find this blog, then they could possibly find that entry and would most likely have a good idea who I’m talking about. Even though what I wrote is true, I would hate the coworkers to see it. Because as much as they drive me UP A FREAKIN’ WALL, I like them, too. It would be hard to explain that the post was simply a stress reliever, not an all out bashing of their personalities.

So, the post remains unposted.

This is the main problem with this blog. I have alot to say, but I’m afraid to commit it to the web. And my question is this: Do I continue this anonymous blog (because y’all know my name isn’t really Elle, right?) and talk about the VIM in detail and everything else in generalities, or do I finally blog as myself – start over as ME, and never mention the VIM again? I’m honestly stumped.

What do you mean your name isn’t ELLE!?!?!?!? ;)

Try having your first and last name on your blog. That’s when you’ll have real posting problems.

I post under my real first name, but I make sure that my last name isn’t identifiable by my blog. While it wouldn’t be all that terribly hard to find me, I really don’t think that any of my coworkers would look that hard for me.

Well if you’re worried they’ll find you on your anonymous blog, don’t you think they’ll find you if you blog as you?

Whatever you do, lemme know.

Were you you or anonymous on your last blog?

Only you can decide the advantages of each way. I never blog stuff I wouldn’t tell my best friend (or even some stuff I do tell her)….LOL

I wouldn’t do your full real name…it would really restrict what you can write about…I am thinking as long as you keep things general and don’t mention specifics like the actual name of your work or VIM’s actual name or the name of you town etc…even if they did find you they would never know who you were. If I didn’t KNOW you I would have no idea who or where you were. I don’t know much about bloggin but can you restrict who can look at your blog?

AND just a little side comment I would really miss the funny VIM blogs…they really make me laugh out loud…by the way thank you so much for sharing! Ok, that’s my 2 cents…

Kathy~ I think other than the people who actually KNOW me, you’re the only holdover from the old blog days. Thanks!

Amber~ I agree with you, I can’t imagine anyone going out of their way to out me, but that’s exactly what happened to one of my friends…it wasn’t on purpose, but an ex-coworker found her blog (and a lot of embarrassing stuff) through an innocent google search months after the fact.

kenju~ I agree. I’m generally easy going and don’t feel the need to vent about people close to me, so it’s not a problem. It’s just that every once in a while….. :)

heather~ thanks. Your comment helped me put it all in perspective.
