There’s a little hermette inside of me

I just spent two days on a work-related roadtrip. I basically spent 36 non-stop hours with 2 people that I’m acquaintences with, and I like, but wouldn’t necessarily consider great friends. We rode in the car together, shared a hotel room, ate meals together, sat together in meetings, socialized together. Basically spent EVERY SECOND of 36 hours together.

They are, of course, nice and lovely people. But I need my…well, not even my privacy…just MY time. A couple hours a day when I’m not all nicey nicey “no, YOU use the shower first”…or “here, YOU take the good seat, I’ll stand”…or “no, your snoring (which scared the hell out of me in the middle of the night) didn’t bother me at all.”

I can SO relate, Elle. I’ve been in that situation too.

Now, don’t kill me, but TAG! you’re it….

Come over to see what I’m talking about.

I have been in that situation and it is not a good one. I much prefer a hotel room all to myself and privacy for at least the sleeping part of the day.

Yeah…I have a little hermit in me too. Which is odd because I’m the person that teaches charisma classes. Somedays I’m less charismatic than others.
